West Valley Tip Sheet is a clearinghouse for “heard on the street” information about West Valley local government and politics geared to reporters as possible story leads and to government professionals to enhance understanding of the actions of local government.

Most of the information on the site is a matter of public or published record. The site also relies on information provided by people with direct knowledge and makes diligent efforts to confirm when we feel it is necessary and possible.

WVTS strives to publish highly accurate information in order to build and maintain a credible position among its target audience. To that end, the site does not post innuendo, baseless gossip, or material which may be defamatory or slanderous to private or public individuals.

The site is private and operated by volunteers. It does not pay for information, accept payment to publish information or accept advertising.

Its communications from and with site visitors are not subject to public records laws to the extent those laws do not apply to private entities.

NOTE: Of course, any electronic communication generated by or including government/public email accounts, if a request is made to the public agency, can be available for public review, per those laws.
